Established in 2014 by artist and designer Erendira Tristan, Honey Bee is the cheerful antidote to basic every-day fashion, elevating the basics to must-haves. Honey Bee is a lifestyle accessories brand that offers handbags, shoes, jewelry and gifts in clever designs, whimsical signature patterns, and quality details that won’t break the bank. 

 

Erendira Tristan is a multi-disciplinary artist that works predominantly in the medium of painting. She graduated with a BFA in Accessories Design from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology in 2004. Since then she has been working as a handbag & graphic designer, holding positions as Design Director managing multiple brands and launching many handbag labels under the umbrella of companies such as Perlina, Rosetti and Li & Fung (now Global Brands). In 2007 she created and successfully launched the eco-friendly handbag brand Lily Bloom. During her 10-year tenure at Li & Fung, she led the design of many licensed handbag brands for customers such as Ralph Lauren and Lulu Guinness among others. She has served as faculty to the Accessories Design department at The Fashion Institute of Technology, inspiring the next generation of business savvy designers.

 

In 2014 she founded Harlem Design Studio LLC where she provides consulting services in design and production of fashion accessories. Honey Bee is the first lifestyle accessories brand launched under the umbrella of Harlem Design Studio. Erendira Tristan lives and works in Harlem, NYC.
